Scholarships

A scholarship is an award given to a student who meets certain requirements. These requirements vary with each particular scholarship and could be based upon a variety of criteria: merit-based, need-based, affiliation with a specific group, community service, specific major (just to name a few).

CCHS Scholarships List

The CCHS Scholarship List and the Scholarship Information Bulletins are compilations of scholarships that can be used at the post-secondary training of your choice; the links are listed on the right. There you will find the scholarships we become aware of with brief information about the scholarship and, most importantly, the link directly to the scholarship or organization offering the scholarship. Though the list is continually updated, dates and other information do change and cannot be guaranteed. Please check the website of the scholarship for the most recent information or with the Counseling Office.

Boettcher Foundation Scholarship

Seniors who have attended a Colorado high school for their junior and senior year and who have shown superior academic achievement, evidence of leadership and involvement, service to community and school, and outstanding character may be invited to apply for these full scholarships.  Deadline is November 1, 2020.  https://boettcherfoundation.org/scholarship-eligibility-requirements-and-selection-criteria/

Daniels Scholarship Program

The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year annually renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. It is a “last dollar” scholarship that pays toward tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and miscellaneous educational expenses. Scholars may attend any nonprofit accredited school in the United States. The application period opens October 1 and closes on November 15, 2020.  For more information, visit www.DanielsFund.org/Scholarships.

Hurliman Scholarship Foundation

The Hurliman Scholarship Foundation offers four-year scholarships to high school seniors who reside in Fremont, Custer, or Pueblo counties.  The applicant must demonstrate superior scholastic ability as evidenced by a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.  They also must receive a minimum ACT of 23 and/or minimum SAT of 1150. Local/Fremont County Scholarships

In addition to the CCHS Scholarship List, Fremont County has some wonderful, generous donors who value CCHS and Fremont County students furthering their education. These scholarships are available to seniors during the spring semester and will be announced in mid to late-February. 

Pueblo Community College Scholarship Program

Pueblo Community College invites Cañon City High School students to consider their institution in furthering their education. PCC offers their Foundation Scholarships each year to prospective students allowing students to attend at a lesser cost or no cost. Colorado College/University Financial Aid & Scholarships
